I stare at the sheet music and wonder why this piece I am learning is creating difficulty. Mind you it is written by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and is a spectacular composition. While I have been working on the right hand notes I have been discovering the multi-track recording capability of my keyboard (the one that Brigitte gave to me for my birthday) and found out that I can plug my laptop into it through a clever little thing called a USB port. Not only that, but my old Casio is also capable of hooking into everything as well. .
One step at a time, one note at a time I think I will be able to master this piece or at least most of it before her wedding. I am going for the full pipe organ sound with other background music that will or should enhance the bit I do and cover the mistakes I may make. Anyway, with-in the privacy of my headphones I am slowly learning the vision of a master.

There are many times I find myself deep in thought about a few things. Through music and images I can sometimes take this thought and get it organized. There are times when I do get this far away glazed over look (same kind a cop gets when he smells fresh donuts) and Brigitte begins to worry. Not in a bad way mind you but my mind tends to get carried away with the development of a single image. This image should be able to stir someone’s thoughts, provoke emotion or at least create a smile in one who views it. I have captured some of these images through the years and it has not been easy.
.
I have travelled several thousand kilometres so I have the right rock and the right horizon, taking thousands of photographs in all the seasons to find the one image. When I do find that one image I tend to share it with everyone. The project “Shadows and Light” has brought a number of these images to light and while there are a huge number I cannot share with you there is a few that I can. Rest assured I will continue to work as long as I can but even now have noticed difficulty in low light settings. I now have to be extra careful with focusing while shooting in a dimly lit studio. I had one “Shadows” sitting that most of the images were out of focus. I have relied on my eyes up till now as they along with my hand is quicker than the automatic setting but I may resign myself to the fact that I will have to use auto-focus for low light work.
.
The time may come when my work will stop, the time will come when the vision no longer supports my work but I will smile and know that the “Image Lives On”
